Grants and Events

The Digital Media/Internet Services Program has been awarded over $800,000 in grants for the next few years. These grants allow us to hold a variety of great events and outreach to High School and Middle School students.

Events and Grants happenings

1. This year was the 8th Annual West Valley Film Festival. Next year there are plans to partner with the San Jose Cinequest festival to enrich our own festival.
2. The Digital Media program hosted 2 Saturday Seminars in the Spring of 2007. The events included Filmaking, Special Effects/ and Sound Recording, and Audio editing. >> Watch the video of the Film Making Seminar.
3. The Digital Media Program interviewed Industry Professionals. >> Watch a video of an Industry Interview
4. Digital Media Program instructors teach at local Bay Area high schools. Mt. Pleasant, Leland, and CCOC are all partners in the Learningbytes grant and students from those high schools participate in the outreach classes. Film Making and Design Skills are taught after school.
5. Digital Media Films were presented at the Mt. Pleasant Cultural Festival. Watch video section of Culture Festival.
