Description:This course focuses on the basic concepts and theory design of visual imagery applicable for use in digital media. Effective communications using design principles and concepts will be stressed. Topics covered will include basic design principles, creative process, typography, color, visual construction, and various technical tools for creating digital imagery.

 

On completion of this course the student will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate a working knowledge of the creative/design process
  2. Create and utilize thumbnails in the development of conceptual images
  3. Exhibit an understanding of the basic principles of design
  4. Utilize images, typography, and color to communicate specific ideas and concepts
  5. Demonstrate the principles of design and organization
  6. Exhibit an understanding of esthetic values and quality required for successful participation in the market place.
